Apteka Sharm pharmacist welcoming guests in the pharmacy

Apteka Sharm is a Russian-speaking pharmacy in Sharm El Sheikh. Our pharmacists give advice in Russian, in store and on WhatsApp. They also speak English, Ukrainian and Italian. You can explain what you need in your own words and get a clear answer.

«Мы говорим по-русски. Пишите нам в WhatsApp.» (We speak Russian. Write to us on WhatsApp.)

How our pharmacists can help

  • Suggest suitable products for minor problems, such as sunburn, insect bites or an upset stomach.
  • Read a box, leaflet or prescription from home and find the Egyptian equivalent of your medicine.
  • Explain how to use a product. Always follow the leaflet as well.
  • Help you choose skincare, sun care, vitamins and baby products.
  • Tell you the price and availability before you buy.

Advice in store and on WhatsApp

In store. Visit one of our 5 pharmacies across Sharm El Sheikh. Our Naama Bay and Nabq pharmacies close at 1:00 AM every day.

On WhatsApp. Write to +20 120 344 2201 in Russian, English, Ukrainian or Italian. Send a photo of the product, the box or the leaflet. If you cannot come in, we offer free delivery to your hotel for orders from $30.

Before you ask, tell us about allergies, pregnancy, long-term conditions and other medicines you take. For children, pregnancy and long-term conditions, always ask a pharmacist or doctor first.

A pharmacist is not a doctor

Our pharmacists help with minor problems and everyday products. They cannot examine you or make a diagnosis. If your symptoms are severe, getting worse or not going away, see a doctor.

See a doctor urgently if:

  • chest pain or discomfort lasts two minutes or more
  • someone has difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • someone faints, loses consciousness or becomes suddenly confused
  • there is sudden dizziness, weakness, trouble speaking or a change in vision
  • the face, eyes or tongue start to swell
  • bleeding will not stop, or someone coughs up or vomits blood
  • vomiting or diarrhoea is severe or does not stop
  • there is sudden, severe pain anywhere in the body, or severe pain in the abdomen
  • someone has a head injury
  • someone has thoughts of harming themselves or others
  • a child has a seizure, trouble breathing, or bluish or grey skin
  • a child is unusually sleepy, or has a fever with a stiff neck

In an emergency in Egypt, call 123 for an ambulance. The tourist police number is 126. Also contact your travel company and your insurer.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Is there a Russian-speaking pharmacy in Sharm El Sheikh?

Yes. At Apteka Sharm, our pharmacists speak Russian, as well as English, Ukrainian and Italian. You can ask for advice in store or write to us on WhatsApp at +20 120 344 2201. We have 5 pharmacies across Sharm El Sheikh, including Naama Bay and Nabq, and we deliver to hotels for free from $30.

Can I get pharmacy advice in Russian on WhatsApp?

Yes. Write to +20 120 344 2201 in Russian, English, Ukrainian or Italian. Send a photo of the product, your medicine box or the leaflet, and our pharmacist will reply. We can then deliver your order to your hotel, free of charge for orders from $30.

When should I see a doctor instead of a pharmacist?

See a doctor urgently for chest pain, difficulty breathing, fainting, sudden confusion, swelling of the face or tongue, or bleeding that will not stop. In an emergency in Egypt, call 123 for an ambulance. A pharmacist can help with minor problems but cannot replace a doctor.

What should I tell the pharmacist before asking for advice?

Tell us about allergies, pregnancy, long-term conditions and any medicines you already take. Bring or photograph the box, leaflet or prescription of your medicines. This helps our pharmacist give safe advice. For children, pregnancy and long-term conditions, always ask a pharmacist or doctor first.
