Check a medicine price before you buy

You can check a medicine price before you buy at Apteka Sharm. Send a photo of the product on WhatsApp, and we reply with the current price and availability. This medicine price check in Egypt comes with no obligation to buy.

It helps tourists who want to know the total before they order, or who are comparing products. You can send one product or a whole list.

How it works

1. Take a photo of the product, the box or your shopping list. Make sure the name and the strength are easy to read.
2. Send it on WhatsApp to +20 120 344 2201, in English, Russian, Ukrainian or Italian.
3. We reply with the current price and tell you if it is in stock.

If we do not have the exact product, we can look for one with the same active ingredient. See how we find the Egyptian equivalent of your medicine.

Official prices on medicines

Egypt regulates medicine prices nationally. The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) sets the prices of registered medicines, and manufacturers print the price on the pack.

Apteka Sharm sells registered medicines at these official prices. There is no tourist mark-up.

On our shop window you will see the words «Государственная аптека» (“state pharmacy”). Tourists often call us «госаптека». For you, it means state-set prices on registered medicines.

Official prices can be revised, so we always quote the current price. Cosmetics, natural oils and many other products may not carry a printed official price. For these, we give you our current price.
